‍Today, we’re announcing the general availability Google Workspace Studio, a framework for building, managing, and sharing AI agents in Workspace. Leveraging the reasoning and multimodal understanding Gemini 3, we’ve created easy-to-use AI automation that’s deeply integrated into Google Workspace , putting the power of custom agent creation within the reach of every employee. With Workspace Studio, you can create agents to automate everyday tasks—from simple tasks to complex workflows—in minutes, without any coding skills or special syntax.

Why we're bringing agent-based automation to Workspace
We’ve all spent countless hours on the mundane tasks of everyday life: reviewing emails, organizing calendar logistics, and managing follow-ups. Traditional automation tools tried to help, but they were too rigid and technical for the average user. That’s why we integrated custom agents directly into Workspace with Studio—so you can delegate those repetitive tasks to agents who can think, understand context, and do the work that used to slow you down. Studio puts the full power of agent-based AI at the disposal of everyone—not just specialists—by removing the programming hurdles and allowing anyone to create agents that automate their unique business processes in minutes.
Google Workspace Studio is a place to create, manage, and share AI agents within Google Workspace environment.
Automate complex tasks with smart agents in Google Workspace
While traditional automation logic relies on strict rules, rigid conditions, and programming skills, Workspace agents are designed to be more capable and flexible. With enhanced Gemini capabilities, these agents can effectively analyze problems, adapt instantly to new information, and manage complex business processes from start to finish. This opens up a new level of AI-powered capabilities, including sentiment analysis, content creation, smart prioritization, and intelligent notifications.

Kärcher, a global leader in cleaning solutions, teamed up with long-time Google Cloud partner Zoi to be one of the first to adopt Workspace Studio. Previously, the company’s digital platforms team evaluated new feature ideas in a fragmented and slow process that relied on face-to-face meetings and scattered notes that were difficult to keep track of.

To optimize its workflow, Kärcher deployed a virtual team of agents created in the Studio environment. When a new feature idea is proposed in Google Chat, a brainstorming Gem assesses its value, a technical Gem checks feasibility, a UX Gem describes a possible user journey, and the final Gem builds a complete user story for the team to review based on the results of the previous stages. This has reduced the build time by 90%, turning hours of manual compilation into a plan ready for review in just two minutes.
Allow everyone to create agents in the Workspace environment
Workspace customers participating in our Gemini Alpha program are already using the Workspace Studio environment; these agents have helped customers complete over 20 million tasks in the last 30 days—from automating status reports and customizing reminders to business-critical processes like triaging legal notices and managing travel requests.

What all of these agents have in common, whether they are two-step or twenty-step, is that they are created by the people who know the problems best. No programming skills are required to create them. Start with a template or simply describe in natural language what you want to automate, and Gemini 3 will create it. For example, you could say, “If an email contains a question addressed to me, tag it with 'For Reply' and send me a message in the chat.”
Studio creates an agent that intelligently identifies and labels high-priority emails in your inbox.
Studio creates this agent instantly, using Gemini 3 model to determine which incoming emails contain questions. It can go even further, extracting important information from emails and their attachments, such as required actions and invoice numbers. Because collaboration is the foundation of Workspace, you can share your agents with your team as easily as you share files in Google Drive .
Coordinate work across all your applications
With full integration with Workspace apps like Gmail , Drive, and Chat, agents understand the full context of your work. This allows them to provide assistance that aligns with your company’s policies and processes, while creating personalized content that reflects your style. You can also monitor your agents’ activity directly from the sidebars of your favorite Workspace apps.

Agents created in Workspace Studio are also extensible. Pre-built steps and actions make it easy to connect agents to key business applications and platforms, such as Asana, Jira, Mailchimp, and Salesforce , thereby streamlining processes across all workflows. Advanced features are also available for users with technical expertise. Custom steps Apps Script allows teams to customize agents to their complex business needs and integrate them with internal tools, ADK agents, and proprietary models through Vertex AI platform.
